Lesson Journal
This week we practiced sitting tall and keeping our feet together and steady at the piano. We opened and closed our hands like a blooming flower and used a small ball to keep our hands relaxed and shaped nicely. With teacher guidance, we played and sang patterns on C–D–E, focusing on gentle, flowing movements.
To switch activities, together we completea a PPA Worksheet focusing on the notes C, D, and E, using the solfege colors red, yellow, and orange.
At the end of the lesson, Sabera watched me play Hot Cross Buns using finger number 3 in each hand, then I helped her play it, and she also had a chance to try it on her own. We also began learning the rhythm and lyrics for Merrily We Roll Along on the desk bells.
