Lesson Journal
We began the lesson with a PPA Worksheet focusing on the notes C, D, and E, using the solfege colors red, yellow, and orange.
Next, we played Hot Cross Buns on the desk bells, first using C, D, and E while singing both the letter names and the solfege syllables. We then transferred the piece to the piano, using only the third finger, with careful teacher guidance. We practiced with both the right and left hands, exploring different octaves while applying the Floating Arm Technique for smooth, seamless movements.
Sabera especially enjoyed learning the words for understanding the rhythm and to sing along. We also looked ang talked about the picture of sweet, freshly baked Hot Cross Buns on the sheet music.
