Lesson Review (15 minutes)

After a vacation break, Sabera retained most of what we had previously learned.

Water Lily Technique: Focused on locating sets of three black keys using a rounded, relaxed hand position.

Keyboard Geography: Introduced and practiced FGAB on the desk bells and piano.

Floating Arm Technique for graceful, seamless movement.

Theory Lesson: Review finger numbers and basic hand awareness for piano, connecting visual with activitiy worksheets and fun games

Lesson Journal

We worked on maintaining a rounded, relaxed hand shape while locating the sets of three black keys. This helped reinforce correct finger position and supported tension-free playing.

Sabera was introduced to the notes F, G, A, B and practiced finding and playing them on both the desk bells and the piano (as I gently held her hand). This fun activity strengthened her ability to connect visual patterns on the keyboard with solfege and the specific note names.

We applied the concept of a free, floating arm to create graceful and seamless movements between her newly learned keys.
